This fight was the first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion to feature two female fighters as a main event in history of Australia.
Angie Parr, wife of Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr (JWP) is a veteran stand-up fighter with International Boxing, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing fights on her resume. Sporting an overall fight record of 40+ wins with only 7 losses she is a true legend in female combat sports and Muay Thai.
Claire Haigh sporting a professional Muay Thai record of 14 wins and only 2 losses recently won the WPMF World Muay Thai Championship at the Queen’s Cup event held in Bangkok Thailand, by beating Chantal Ughi.
Claire Haigh has spent the last year training at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp Phuket, Thailand under MMA Instructor Ray Elbe and Master Muay Thai instructor Kru Pichai Maitong “Gae” Kiatsignoi. A BJJ Blue Belt previously to arriving in Thailand Claire represented Diesel Gym in London England. Claire shows great Elbows during the stand-up portion of the bout, and utilizes a vicious GNP to set up the RNC (Rear Naked Choke) victory.
