American BJJ Brown Belt Ray Elbe (MMA Phuket) Vs. Philippine National Judo champion Ali Sulit
Ali Sulit is head instructor at the VPF academy in Manila Philippines. An accomplished National Judo Champion Ali Sulit is a 4th Degree Judo black belt who cross-trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu holding the rank of Purple belt.
Ray Elbe is head MMA instructor at Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp in Phuket Thailand. Holding the rank of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt, Elbe is also an experienced MMA fighter with over 40 professional fights throughout the world.
This match occurred Sept. 20th, 2009 at the FBT 2009 Thailand Submission Grappling Championships held in Bangkok Thailand. Ray Elbe of MMA Phuket went on to win the Silver medal in the ELITE under 90 kilos division. Team Tiger Muay Thai and MMA took 2nd place all-around in tournament.
