BBQ Beatdown IV – Philip Morales (USA) vs. Patric Annerberg (Sweden) @ MMA Phuket, Thailand
During the monthly Full Moon and BBQ Party held at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training facility in Phuket Thailand the crowd was treated to several legal Thai MMA Fights, all you can eat BBQ and UFC 91 viewing. Philip and Patric are both new to MMA and combat sports and have been training less than a year. This was an entry level bout geared towards the goal of giving them a chance to compete against someone at their own skill level. Fighters wore shin pads and 8oz “shooto style” gloves for maximum protection. No knees to the head when the opponent is standing or on the ground. Knees are allowed only to the body from the standing position like Muay Thai. No upkicks, or down kicks from both combatants when a fighter is on his back. And no leg submissions or leg locks. This fight was 3 rounds of 3 mins. Professional MMA Fighter Ray Elbe was guest refferee of the bout.
