BBQ Beatdown IV Tournament – Jonas Brandesten (Sweden) Vs. Jimmy Lmmonen (Finland) @ MMA Phuket, Thailand
This was the first round of a four man MMA tournament held during the Full Moon Party at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Phuket training facility in Phuket Thailand.
Jonas Brandesten is a BJJ Blue Belt while Jimmy Immonen is a veteran of several Shooto fights in the country of Finland. Fighters wore shin pads and 8oz “shooto style” gloves. No knees to the head when the opponent is standing or on the ground. Knees are permitted only to the body from the standing position only like Muay Thai.
This bout was 2 rounds of 3 minutes with the winner advancing to the tournament finals. *Note Jonas Brandesten defeated fellow Swede Kristian Karlsson in the finals via Arm-bar in the 1st round*
Professional MMA Fighter Ray Elbe was the guest referee of the match.
