Bernueng (Tiger Muay Thai & MMA) vs. Chalermsak first fight
Bernueng Sakhomsin is a Muay Thai champion, BJJ White belt. He was Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai champion in 2006 and a former WMC World Champion and has notable MT wins against Namsaknoi, Saengaha Sarakham, and Big Ben Chor Praram 6. Bernueng is currently ranked in the top 10 for his weight class in the sport of Muay Thai for the country of Thailand. 26-years-old, Bernueng has decided to make a career change from Muay Thai and continue evolving as a fighter to compete in MMA. Bernueng competing in MMA is a veteran of the Art of War FC in Beijing China and in Phuket, Thailand with notable fights against Dai Shaung Hai and Jadamba Narantungalag. Prior to this Gi Grappling match, Bernueng had spent 6 months training submission grappling, under Juliano Prado BJJ Brown Belt Ray Elbe at the Tiger Muay Thai training facility, Phuket Thailand. This was Bernueng’s first Grappling tournament and his first time fighting in the Gi.
Kob Chalermsak of the Emac gym is a Judo Black Belt who is a member of the Thai national Judo Team. After losing this match, Bernueng went on to win his remaining fights and earn a spot in the finals where he rematched Chalermsak in the final. Attempting to counter Bernueng’s single leg attempt Chalermsak tried a toss that allowed his back to be taken, giving Bernueng the gold medal victory by RNC (rear naked choke).
